Diocesan Offices and Staff

Diocesan House and Synod House are the diocese's offices in Manhattan. They are located on the Cathedral Close at 110th Street and Amsterdam Avenue.

The Diocesan Offices exist to provide support for the diocese, its commissions and committees, and its congregations. Based at Synod House and Diocesan House, on the Close of the Cathedral of St. John the Divine, and with outlying offices serving Region II and the Mid-Hudson Region, they include:
- The Bishops' Offices, Archdeacon for Mission, and the Canon to the Ordinary
- The Regional Offices
- The Administrative Office, which includes the Controller’s Office, and Convention Planning
- The Property Support Office
- The Stewardship Office
- The Office for Ministry Development, which nurtures and guides vocations to the diaconate and the priesthood
- The Office for Deployment, which assists parishes and other organizations in their search for clergy, and clergy in their search for positions
- The Office for Pastoral Care, which attends to the pastoral needs of the clergy of the diocese
- The Canons for Congregational Development
- The Canon for Christian Formation
- The Public Affairs and Communications Office, which handles communications between the diocesan offices and the priests and congregations, maintains the diocesan website, and conducts relations with the press regarding diocesan matters/assists congregations with the same
