Anti-Racism Workshop (2 consecutive days, Manhattan)
January 26 @ 9:00 am - January 27 @ 4:00 pm
Please note that this workshop has reached full capacity, and registrations are now closed.
This is a two-day workshop – Friday and Saturday, January 26 and 27.
The purpose of the diocesan Anti-Racism Workshop is to help us become aware of how the sin of racism impacts all of our lives, and how we all unconsciously and consciously participate in racist systems. It is required for clergy in our diocese and highly recommended for lay leadership.
Dialogue is the foundation of the two-day workshop (each day runs from 9:00-4:00, and coffee and lunch are provided). We use group exercises and examine scientific and historical evidence concerning the origins of the concept of race and its legacy.
Of the hundreds of workshop participants, more than 85% have found the workshop to be “very useful” or “extremely useful” in their work and daily lives.
Cost: No charge for those from the Diocese of New York. There is a $25.00 registration fee for members of the Episcopal Diocese of Newark and a $50.00 fee for all others.
If you have difficulty with your registration, please contact Arlene Bullard: [email protected] or call 212-932-7363.
